Message from the President
Dear Korean American business owners and community members,
It is a great honor to serve as the 30th President of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA (KACCUSA). I am excited to take on this responsibility and work with you to support and grow our Korean American business community across the United States.
KACCUSA has long been dedicated to protecting the interests of Korean American businesses and supporting their growth. As the president, I will focus on four key priorities to better serve our members and community.
First, we will support and strengthen local Korean American chambers of commerce.
These local chambers play a vital role in assisting small businesses in their communities, and we will help them become more active and better connected. We will also enhance our information platform so that our local chambers and their members can stay up to date on funding opportunities, government support programs, and key changes in taxation, labor laws, and small business regulations through timely updates and practical programs.
Second, we will invest in the next generation of Korean American business leaders.
Our young Korean Americans—especially the second and third generations—are the future of our community. We will support them through business mentoring, education, and strong networking opportunities to help them succeed and carry our legacy forward.
Third, we will strengthen partnerships with the Korean government and its key agencies, including the Korea Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (KBIZ), and the Overseas Koreans Agency.
Together, we will serve as a vital bridge for Korean companies seeking to enter the U.S. market and expand export opportunities.
Fourth, we will organize international business events in collaboration with the Korean government and relevant agencies and institutions.
Hosting large-scale global business gatherings such as the World Korean Business Convention, we will create impactful opportunities for networking and economic collaboration between Korean and Korean American entrepreneurs.
Beyond this, KACCUSA will also strive to contribute to the broader U.S. economy by helping American companies expand into global markets and increase exports—leveraging our worldwide network of nearly seven million people of Korean heritage along with our strong partnerships in Korea.
As the 30th President, I am committed to making KACCUSA a stronger, more connected, and more supportive organization. True progress comes when we work together—and your support, ideas, and active participation will be essential to our success.
Let’s move forward together.
Thank you.
ByungGu Hwang
30th President
Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA (KACCUSA)
