With just over a month to go before the 23rd World Korean Business Congress (WKBC), Kim Ki-moon, chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), visited Atlanta for a site inspection.

The meeting, held at the Gulf South Convention Center and the adjacent Gwinnett Westin Hotel, was a joint inspection meeting between the Federation of Korean American Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Korea Overseas Koreans Administration, and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and was attended by Kim Ki-moon, chairman of the WKBC, Kim In-cheol, director of exchange and cooperation at the Korea Overseas Koreans Administration, Lee Kyung-cheol, president of the Federation of Korean American Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Hwang Byung-koo, chairman emeritus of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the meeting, the participants shared major operational plans for the event, which is one month away, and checked the status of recruiting booths for the business exhibition. At the meeting, it was decided to thoroughly prepare for the early closing of 450 booths for the corporate exhibition, the core program of the Games, so that booth installation and export consultation can proceed without any disruptions.

In addition, it was decided to organize a program for exchanges between key figures from Korea and the U.S. political and business community to strengthen the U.S.-Korea alliance after the inauguration of the second Trump administration.

This year’s World Korean Business Congress will be held from April 17 to 20 at the Gass South Convention Center in Atlanta under the slogan, “Leap into the future of the Korean business world,” with more than 3,000 Korean businessmen and women and tens of thousands of visitors.
