“From the Airport to the Convention Venue” – Placed in Four Key Locations Across Atlant

Co-Chairman Baekkyu Kim has already donated $50,000 for the convention and voluntarily funded billboard installations to support its success.

Large billboards promoting the upcoming 23rd World Korean Business Convention (WKBC), scheduled to be held in April, have been installed in four key locations across Metro Atlanta, drawing significant attention.

These billboards were personally funded by WKBC Co-Chairman Baekkyu Kim and installed at four strategic points: along I-85, I-75, and both the northern and southern sections of the I-285 highway.

On the 26th, Ikyeong Cheol, President of the Federation of Korean American Chamber of Commerce (FKACC), and Odong Han, President of the Georgia Atlanta Korean Chamber of Commerce, held a press conference at the Korean Chamber of Commerce office alongside Co-Chairman Baekkyu Kim.

Co-Chairman Kim stated, “Since a major event is being held in the Korean community, I wanted to naturally promote it by setting up large billboards on Metro Atlanta’s major highways. My goal is to showcase the capabilities of Koreans to the mainstream society.”

President Ikyeong Cheol expressed his gratitude, saying, “Co-Chairman Baekkyu Kim has already contributed $50,000 in sponsorship for this event, and on top of that, he voluntarily funded the installation of four large billboards. We are incredibly grateful for his generosity, and we will do our best to make this event shine.”

The four billboards, strategically placed along the highways, will ensure that everyone traveling from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport toward Atlanta will see the event promotion. The billboards are located at key points, including I-75 near Langford Drive before merging with I-85, between Belk Road and I-285 on I-75, before the I-285 interchange on I-85 South, and between the I-85/I-316 interchange and Pleasant Hill Road. This placement gradually leads towards the event venue, the Gas South Convention Center.

The 23rd World Korean Business Convention (WKBC) will take place in Atlanta from April 17 to 20, featuring over 450 exhibition booths. The closing ceremony will be attended by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler. Additionally, The Home Depot, the largest home improvement retailer in the U.S., which is headquartered in Atlanta, will also participate.

Meanwhile, the Federation of Korean American Chamber of Commerce (FKACC), the Overseas Koreans Agency (OKA), and the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises (KBIZ), which are organizing and hosting the event, are actively recruiting volunteers and supporters to assist with operations.

Event organizers have also announced that, in addition to volunteers, they are hiring temporary paid staff who are fluent in both Korean and English to work as interpreters for Korean companies at the exhibition booths during the three-day event.
