– Expanding Market Opportunities and Providing Local Business Support for Korean Companies –

SEOUL, South Korea – July 16, 2026 – The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA, President & CEO Kang Kyung-sung) and the Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA (KACCUSA, Chairman Byung Koo Hwang) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at KOTRA headquarters on July 16 to strengthen cooperation in supporting Korean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies entering the U.S. market while promoting Korea–U.S. economic exchange.
Founded in 1980, KACCUSA is the umbrella organization representing approximately 80 regional Korean American Chambers of Commerce throughout the United States. The organization also serves as a key private-sector bridge between Korea and the United States and is a co-organizer of the World Korean Business Convention hosted by the Overseas Koreans Agency.

Under the agreement, KOTRA and KACCUSA will collaborate to:
- Organize business networking and exchange events utilizing both organizations’ networks;
- Support Korean SMEs and mid-sized companies in expanding their presence in the U.S. market;
- Connect Korean businesses with professional services necessary for successful market entry, including legal, tax, customs, and other business advisory services.
Through this partnership, KOTRA will provide market intelligence and practical assistance to Korean companies seeking to enter the U.S. market, while helping businesses address operational challenges related to taxation, customs, legal compliance, and local business regulations.
The agreement is expected to significantly enhance access to KACCUSA’s extensive private-sector business network across the United States, enabling Korean companies to benefit from both KOTRA’s global trade infrastructure and KACCUSA’s regional chamber network. By combining these resources, Korean businesses will gain broader access to local market intelligence, industry expertise, and professional networks essential for successful expansion into the U.S. market.
“KOTRA and KACCUSA share a common goal of helping Korean companies succeed in one of the world’s most important export markets,” said Kang Kyung-sung, President and CEO of KOTRA. “Through this partnership, we will provide more effective support for Korean businesses entering the United States while further strengthening economic cooperation between Korea and the U.S.”
