KACCUSA Next-Generation Group Visits the Overseas Koreans’ Office for a Leadership Meeting

The Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA (KACCUSA) Next Generation Leaders Group visited the Overseas Koreans Agency’s Welcome Center in Incheon’s Yeonsu District on October 23, where they held a meeting with Commissioner Kim Kyung-hyeop. This meeting aimed to strengthen the connection between the next generation of Korean American leaders and their homeland, as well as to explore future cooperation initiatives.
During the meeting, Commissioner Kim emphasized, “The Republic of Korea and the diaspora community must advance together, and we must grow in mutual solidarity.” He also stated, “The image of our homeland is directly linked to the image of the diaspora community, and both communities should develop together.” Furthermore, he added, “In the context of global supply chain restructuring and the rise of protectionism, the diaspora community should serve as a forward base for expansion into the global arena.”
In response, Lee Chang-heon, a director of the KACCUSA Next Generation Group, remarked, “Through this visit, we aim to establish a foundation for cooperation that contributes to the development of the Korean economy and the global network.”
This visit marked the first official invitation extended by the Overseas Koreans Agency to the next generation of Korean American entrepreneurs, creating a new platform for mutual understanding and collaboration. The next generation leaders plan to actively participate in enhancing the network of Korean American businesspeople and expanding activities related to the Korean American Conference.
