Atlanta Braves Confirm Official Participation in WKBC 2025

First collaboration with the Korean-American community to include an information booth and photo zone during the Games

The Atlanta Braves, a professional baseball team in the United States, will officially participate in the World Korean Business Congress 2025 (WKBC) on April 17 at the Gascosa South Convention Center in Tampa.

Lee Kyung-chul, President of the General Federation of Korean American Chambers of Commerce in the United States, visited the Braves at Atlanta’s Touruist Ballpark on Thursday morning and met with Senior Vice President Jim Allen to discuss the team’s participation in the WKBC.

This is the first formal collaboration with Atlanta’s Korean-American community in the organization’s history and has attracted significant attention from the local community and global business community.

The Atlanta Braves, a Major League Baseball team with ties to the state of Georgia, will have a booth at the WKBC event and will host a variety of programs to promote the team during the event.

The Braves’ booth will feature a photo zone with team symbols, and visitors will have the opportunity to take commemorative photos and participate in various giveaways.

“The WKBC, which brings together business leaders from both countries, is a great opportunity for us to meet new fans,” said the club, ”and we look forward to maximizing the brand’s exposure as the 2025 season begins.” The 23rd edition of the WKBC will be attended by nearly 3,000 fellow businessmen from 40 countries around the world, with an average of more than 7,000 visitors per day.

The collaboration is expected to go beyond mere participation in the event and establish a new model of interaction between sports, community, and business. Atlanta is home to one of the largest Korean populations in the United States, and major Korean companies such as Hyundai, Kia, and LG are active in Georgia. With such a local and global business environment, the Braves’ participation in the WKBC is both symbolic and practical.

It will further position Atlanta as a center for the Korean Wave and Korean business in the United States.

The Braves’ participation was organized through the efforts of 2024 Georgia Congressional Candidate Michelle Kang and Frank Lee Cian Company.
